The McHills was launched right at the start of capital controls in Greece. Something that was new and a big risk for us. There is little liquidity in the market and the waters are unknown. The original business plan had been changed – literally torn up – and we were called upon to run a business in conditions of “60€ withdrawal from the ATM” and consumers numb.

McHills went live and the 1st sale came 5 hours later. In the 1st week the first wholesale requests from cafe/bars and liquor stores were a fact.
In the first 4 months, it achieved sales that we usually see in successful eshops of many years and some of the biggest brands in the country (such as Coca Cola, Blue Star Ferries, etc.) had already placed wholesale requests for thousands of codes for corporate gifts.
The loyalty rate of consumers was constantly increasing, the positive reviews followed one after the other.
Already in the 1st 6 months the increase had exceeded 500% without counting wholesale.
The cooperation with the suppliers abroad was excellent and those who were presenting for the first time in Greece were excited because McHills for them was at foreign standards.
McHills was already a success story and frankly we didn’t think we had made it through the crisis either.
